Drain and clean
Pool drain and clean in Houston
Pools drained, cleaned and refilled, for homes and commercial pools alike.
Chapter 01
When chemistry stops working
Pool water in Houston evaporates all summer, and every top-off from the hose leaves its minerals behind. Season after season the dissolved solids and calcium climb until no amount of chemical adjustment holds the water clear. You see it as cloudy water that comes back after treatment, scale on the tile line, stained steps and a surface that feels rough underfoot.
A full drain is also the honest answer after an algae bloom that survived shocking, after a storm has filled a neglected pool with silt and leaves, and before resurfacing or tile work, when the shell has to be bare and clean for the new finish to bond.

How a drain and clean is done
Draining is not just pulling a plug. Wet clay soil can push up on an empty shell, so the ground conditions around the pool get judged before the pump starts, and the discharge route is planned so the water goes somewhere sensible. Once the level is down, the crew scrubs the floor, walls, steps and tile line and washes off the scale and organic film.
An empty pool is the best chance to look at the shell. We check the plaster or pebble for cracks and rough patches, the skimmer throats, returns and main drain fittings, and the light niches while they are dry and open to inspection. Anything found gets written up so you can decide what to do about it while the pool is still empty.
Chapter 03
After the refill
Fresh water needs balancing before it is ready. We refill, run the pump and bring the chemistry into range, then check it again as the water circulates. If stains or scale return quickly, that points at the finish or the water source, and it is worth a conversation about resurfacing or a recurring maintenance plan.
Drain and clean is not only for backyard pools. HOA, apartment, hotel, school and health club pools get the same job on a larger scale, usually planned around when the facility can close. Call (281) 789-4584 and tell us what the water is doing, and we will quote it for free with no obligation.
