Pool renovation in Houston, done right the first time
Resurfacing, tile, coping, decks, lighting and equipment brought up to date in one plan, done right the first time.
Chapter 01
Where a Houston pool wears out first
A pool rarely fails all at once. The finish goes rough under bare feet, the waterline tile loses its grout, the coping lifts at a seam, and a pump a decade old runs hard while it moves less water. Houston speeds every one of these along: expansive clay shifts the shell and the deck, summer heat expands and contracts stone and tile day after day, and the water chemistry swings with every storm.
Most owners answer with one repair at a time. A patch here, a new pump there. That is how a pool ends up with three contractors and nobody accountable for how the parts fit together. Sutton Pools has renovated Houston pools since 2007, and the pitch hasn't changed: “We're not the cheapest option in Houston. We're the option that doesn't require a second contractor to fix the first one's work.”

Six jobs, scoped as one plan
Resurfacing renews the shell in plaster, pebble or quartz. Tile and coping replacement resets the waterline and the stone edge with slip-resistant materials chosen for Houston heat cycles. Deck renovation resurfaces or expands decorative concrete around the water.
Water features and spas add fountains, waterfalls and an integrated spa to the pool you already own. Equipment upgrades swap in energy-efficient pumps and filtration. LED lighting and automation puts lights, pumps, heaters and schedules on one phone app.
On a combined job, order matters. Old tile and coping come off before the shell is resurfaced, and the conduit for lights and equipment is settled before the deck is poured, so no crew has to cut into another crew's finished work. That sequencing is what “done right the first time” means in practice.
Chapter 03
Premium work, fair prices
Premium means the job is built to get through the next Houston summer and the ones after it. Fair means you know what the work involves before it starts, because every renovation begins with a free renovation consultation and a no-obligation quote. Call (281) 789-4584 and ask for Doug, or send a few lines through the contact page.
Put a renovation off and the list only gets longer. A rough finish stains and grows algae, failed grout lets water in behind the tile, and a hairline crack at the coping turns into a leak. If your pool has any of those signs, it is ready for a plan. We work with Houston homeowners, with a residential focus, across the city and about 50 miles around it, including The Woodlands, Katy and Galveston.
