Chapter 01

Where Houston pools slip

Water in a Houston pool changes fast. A hot week burns through chlorine, one thunderstorm dilutes the balance and drops leaves and silt into the skimmer, and the clay soil behind the fence washes into the water after a hard rain. Miss a couple of visits in summer and a clear pool can turn cloudy, then green, before the weekend.

The quieter failures are mechanical. A filter packed with debris makes the pump work against itself. A water level that drops below the skimmer lets the pump pull air. Scale on a step or a stain along the waterline gets harder to remove every month it sits, and it ends up as a resurfacing conversation years ahead of schedule.

What every visit covers

Each recurring plan starts with the water. We test and balance the chemistry on every visit so it stays safe, clear and comfortable to swim in. Then the surface work: skimming the top, brushing the walls and steps, and cleaning out what the baskets have caught.

We check the water level so the equipment stays protected, monitor and clean the filter so circulation keeps moving, and look over the pump, heater and other equipment while we are standing next to it. A small noise or a slow pressure change gets noticed before it becomes an expensive repair. When the visit is done you get a report of what was done and what, if anything, needs attention.

Chapter 03

Why a steady schedule pays off

Dan Sallee, Google review: "Sutton has been cleaning my pool for multiple years now. It's not an easy task as I have a very large pool with not the best circulation. In spite of the challenges, they keep it looking good." A large pool with weak circulation is the hard case for any maintenance plan, and it is the reason a regular crew that knows the pool matters.
